Our Berries Make the Difference
Because Great Pie Begins With Great Fruit
In the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, where the soil is rich and the mornings begin with a soft mist, four generations of family have tended their berries with a kind of devotion you can taste. These berries are never rushed. They’re raised with patience, care, and the understanding that good fruit comes from good stewardship.
Each summer, the blueberries deepen to a dusky blue, the raspberries blush with sweetness, and the blackberries gather their bold, sun-warmed flavor. And the strawberries do what no other strawberries in the United States really can do – they reach a deep rich strawberry flavor that honestly has been lost by breeders and big producers. We still choose the berries for their flavor and not their production volume. The Lewis’ know exactly when each berry is ready, not because a calendar says so, but because they wander their acres and taste the berries, waiting for the perfect time to harvest.
When these Oregon berries reach their peak, they come home to our pie kitchens and are folded into rolled crusts or stirred into bubbling preserves. What we don’t use, we flash freeze for use year-round. No shortcuts. No fillers. Just real fruit, real flavor, and the kind of care that honors the family that grew them.
